Pick three prompts, not a compulsory checklist

A useful mix is one detail, one shared moment and one free choice. Introduce them during a quiet part of the celebration, not during vows or speeches. Joining in is optional; people who do not take pictures are still fully part of the day.

Twelve things to look for

The overlooked detail: Photograph one small decoration that you especially like.
Your table before the meal: Capture its atmosphere without highlighting private details on place cards.
A warm reunion: Ask two people whether you can photograph their moment together.
Shoes of the day: Make a shoe group picture with anyone who wants to join.
The view outside: Show what the celebration's setting looks like today.
You and a favourite person: An easy, comfortable photo rather than a required pose.
A food detail: A thoughtfully presented plate before someone begins eating.
A helping hand: Ask one of the people helping whether they would like a keepsake photo.
The colours of the day: Find three details that show the celebration's style.
A dance-floor moment: Take a picture from where you are without obstructing others.
A shared symbol: Make a heart with hands, with willing participants.

The three-photo suggestion makes the task manageable; it is not a technical upload limit. Giving one card to each of ten tables does not necessarily produce just 30 photos. Several people at each table may contribute, so allow for that in your media estimate.

Agree three boundaries

No dares: Avoid prompts involving forced kisses, alcohol, physical risks or making fun of someone.
No is enough: Respect a wish not to be photographed or included, without asking for an explanation. Discuss children's pictures and sharing with the responsible adults, and respect the child's wishes too.
Do not obstruct the professionals: No prompt should require guests to block an aisle, a dance space or the wedding photographer's view.

Putting a photo in a shared event gallery is not automatically permission to post it on social media. Agree that separate use with the people involved. This is a practical conversation, not a blanket legal clearance.

Make sharing part of the prompt

Put the guest access route on the same card and say whether later uploads are welcome. With poor reception, people can keep the pictures on their devices and contribute later. One friendly reminder with the link after the wedding is enough; nobody needs to justify not contributing.
